Breaking Through Gridlock
Do you want your employees, stakeholders, or students to be authentically motivated and connected with one another? Do you want disagreement within your organization to be a source of innovation and flourishing rather than frustration and polarization? With the techniques developed in his ground-breaking book, Breaking Through Gridlock, Gabriel Grant shares clear-cut and actionable pathways for having hard conversations that produce dramatic results. With well-tested methods, proven exercises, and rich examples, he provides a ‘field guide’ to transforming paralysis and effecting positive change.
In an interactive event with live-response technology, Gabriel will introduce the concepts and practices he explored with his co-author Jason Jay in Breaking Through Gridlock, now widely used in business, higher education, and advocacy work. The need for these skills has never been greater – there are deep political and economic divides in our families, workplaces, and communities. These methods
will give you and your community the tools to approach difficult conversations from a new angle, often reframing the issues
entirely and producing unexpectedly synergistic results. Leaders will learn new ways to build trust, find common ground, and
foster collaboration.
Gabriel Grant is the founder of Human Partners, where he helps senior level executives craft cultures of purpose, trust, and engagement. “I had gotten stuck with a VP of my company, as I repeatedly proposed a change of course for a major project. In the workshop, I saw that I had been arrogant and overbearing in these conversations, and decided to try out something new. Literally the next day, a bargain was struck.
