Author, filmmaker and human rights advocate Jen Marlowe, herself recently deported from the Kingdom of Bahrain for clandestinely documenting the harsh repression of Bahrain’s pro-democracy movement, reports on the recent imprisonment of a local activist, Nabeel Rajab. Read her piece for The Progressive, where she details his case, and sign this petition for his release: ‘“I believe strongly in peaceful means of struggle. It could take longer time, but has better results,” Nabeel Rajab told me that morning, as we waited for the police to arrive to forcibly remove him from his home.’
