Gabriel Bol Deng, an educator and former refugee from Sudan, celebrated the completion of a school building in his home village in Ariang, now in the Republic of South Sudan: “The people of Ariang are entering this historic birth of a new nation with a higher sense of hope and optimism, because the school will educate the next leaders of South Sudan,” he said.
